Meet our current artist-in residence, Penelope Taylor, who arrived in the beginning of May and will work in Budapest until the end of June:
Penelope Taylor (b. 1984) is an artist, curator, and educator based in Somerville, Massachusetts, USA. She explores the natural world, collections, play and display through her platform Home Nature Museum.
She is a 2015 Somerville Arts Council Fellow, and lead curator of Boston HarborArts. In 2014 she joined Harvard metaLAB’s Beautiful Data workshop. She has developed digital resources, interactive installations, and programs at museums including the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and the Rose Art Museum. Starting this fall, she is an adjunct faculty member in Northeastern University’s Art + Design department. Penelope grew up on a goat farm in Maine. She holds an MA in Cultural Production from Brandeis University, and a BA in Anthropology from Bates College.
